AMC Networks Announces Interview with the Vampire Season 3: The Vampire Lestat to Premiere in 2026

AMC made a significant announcement during its panel for Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe at New York Comic Con on Friday: Akasha will be introduced in Season 3 of Interview With the Vampire.

This character, famously portrayed by the late Aaliyah in the 2002 film Queen of the Damned, will be brought to life in Season 3 (also known as The Vampire Lestat) by Sheila Atim, who recently starred alongside Viola Davis in The Woman King. Anne Rice's lore recognizes Akasha as the progenitor of all vampires.

Additional casting announcements include Noah Reid from Schitt’s Creek as Larry, Ryan Kattner, who is also the show’s music supervisor, as Salamander, Seamus Patterson from Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities as Alex, and Sarah Swire from The Boys as TC.

In relation to the Immortal Universe, AMC has released a scene from the upcoming premiere of Talamasca: The Secret Order, which will join the lineup on Sunday, Oct. 26, at 9/8c. The scene features a previously announced cameo by Interview With the Vampire star Eric Bogosian, in which Daniel Molloy has a secret meeting with Talamasca’s leading man, Guy Anatole, played by Nicholas Denton.
