Mason Gooding and Teyana Taylor join Kevin Hart in 72 Hours
Mason Gooding, Teyana Taylor, and Zach Cherry, the protagonist of Severance, are joining the cast of the forthcoming Netflix film 72 Hours, which stars Kevin Hart.
The film has already secured Marcello Hernández, a Saturday Night Live standout, and Ben Marshall and Kam Patterson. Patterson's feature film debut is commemorated in the film. Tim Story, a frequent collaborator of Hart, serves as the director of the film.
Hart's character, a "forty-year-old executive," will be the subject of the film. He is "hoping to save his flailing career by joining a group of twenty-somethings on a wild three-day bachelor party, after he is inadvertently added to their group text."
Variety has disclosed that Hernández will portray the best man to the groom and the commander of the bachelor party, while Gooding will portray the groom. However, the majority of the characters have yet to be disclosed.
The film is currently in production in Miami, which is known as one of the bachelor party capitals of the United States.
The screenwriters are Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, as well as Matt Mider and Kevin Burrows. The production is overseen by Hurwitz, Schlossberg, and Josh Heald through Counterbalance Entertainment, with John Davis of Davis Entertainment and Hart, Luke Kelly-Cline, and Bryan Smiley via Hartbeat. The Story Company is also involved in the production of Story. John Fox and Jeremy Stein of Davis Entertainment, Dina Hiller of Counterbalance, Vicky Mara Story of The Story Company, and Kayla Stamps of Hartbeat serve as executive producers.
