She's Not Her Cousin — and She Doesn't Want to Be
The full official trailer for DC Studios' Supergirl dropped today, and Milly Alcock is bringing a whole new energy to the DCU. When villain Krem of the Yellow Hills poisons her beloved Krypto the Superdog, Kara Zor-El has just three days to save him — and she's not doing it quietly. She reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice, crossing paths with a young woman named Ruthye Marye Knoll and encountering Jason Momoa as the antihero Lobo.
This one is far more indebted to John Wick than anyone anticipated , and that's a very good thing. Kara makes her position clear early: "He sees the good in everyone. And I see the truth." Directed by Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya, Cruella) and produced by James Gunn and Peter Safran, Supergirl hits theaters and IMAX on June 26, 2026. Watch the trailer and tell us — are you here for this darker, wilder Kara Zor-El?
