Erika Alexander and Precious Way Open the Door on Season 2 of ‘The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins’

Reggie Dinkins got four Hall of Fame votes. Four. In Reggie’s house, that’s a parade.

When NBC’s The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins returns Monday, November 2, Tracy Morgan’s disgraced gridiron legend is chasing that momentum any way he can: unboxing videos, live TV bookings and one very bad idea involving a ferret. But the people who actually keep Reggie standing are the two women under his roof. Erika Alexander plays Monica, his ex-wife and agent, the only person who can tell him no and make it stick. Precious Way plays Brina, the fiancée everybody underestimated in season one, right up until she proved she was the sharpest read in the room.

That tension drives the show. Monica built the empire. Brina is building a brand. Both of them know exactly who Reggie is, and both of them are still betting on him. Season two raises the stakes at home. Monica has a new man in her life, played by Boris Kodjoe, and the balance between ex-wife and fiancée gets a lot more interesting when Reggie isn’t the only one with something to prove.

Erika Alexander needs no introduction to anyone who grew up with Maxine Shaw on Living Single or Pam on The Cosby Show, and her recent run includes American Fiction and Invasion. Here she trades courtroom swagger for front-office strategy, and she makes managing Reggie Dinkins look like a full-contact sport. Precious Way is the breakout. She stepped into a Robert Carlock and Sam Means ensemble alongside Morgan, Daniel Radcliffe, Bobby Moynihan and Jalyn Hall and turned what could have been a punchline into one of the show’s most quietly smart characters.

The series came out of the gate as the most-watched comedy telecast of the 2025-26 broadcast season, and season one earned the kind of reviews network sitcoms rarely see. Now comes the harder part: staying on top.

I sat down with Erika Alexander and Precious Way to talk about where Monica and Brina are headed, what changes when the house gets crowded, and what it takes to hold your own next to Tracy Morgan’s timing. Watch our full conversation below.

The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins season two premieres Monday, November 2 on NBC and streams the next day on Peacock.
