Inside Strung: Cast Reveals Behind-the-Scenes Secrets & Movie Magic

"The 30th annual American Black Film Festival in Miami Beach opened with a formidable statement: Strung, a psychological thriller from director Malcolm D. Lee. The film marks a calculated evolution for Lee, who has long championed the Black experience as universal art. In partnership with Blumhouse, Lee explores the unsettling secrets of an influential family through the eyes of a music tutor, played by Chloe Bailey.

Joined by an ensemble cast including Lynn Whitfield, Lucien Laviscount, Chloe Bailey and Coco Jones, the film debuted to capacity crowds at the New World Center before its upcoming digital premiere. We sat down with the filmmakers and stars to unpack the tonal stakes and the 'homecoming' milestone of this 30th-anniversary festival selection."
