The Gang's Back Together: Sarah Steele Joins Carrie Preston on Elsbeth

According to Deadline, Elsbeth Season 3 will bring back a familiar face from the Good Wife/Good Fight franchise.

Sarah Steele is set to reprise her role as Marissa Gold, making her the second actor from the universe to guest star as their original character. She follows Christian Borle, who made a crossover appearance in Season 2 as Carter Schmidt. Along with Elsbeth star Carrie Preston, Borle and Steele are the only three actors from the franchise to appear in all three shows.

The late Linda Lavin portrayed a character named Gloria in Season 1 of Elsbeth, not Joy Grubick, the character she played in the sixth season of CBS's The Good Wife.

Steele made her debut in the second season of the mothership series as Marissa Gold, the only daughter of Eli Gold (played by Alan Cumming). She assisted Peter Florick (portrayed by Chris Noth) during various controversies, both political and otherwise. In The Good Fight, Marissa received more focus, with Steele taking on a series regular role as the firm’s private investigator.

Elsbeth's third season is set to premiere on Sunday, October 12, from 9:30 to 10:30 PM ET, and 9:00 to 10:00 PM PT, on CBS and will also be available for streaming on Paramount+.
