The New Euphoria Season 3 Trailer Just Dropped — And We Are Not Ready

HBO has released a second trailer for Euphoria Season 3, and if you thought these characters couldn't spiral any harder — think again.

Season 3 picks up several years after the main characters have graduated from high school, marking a significant time jump for the series. And from the looks of it, post-high school life has been absolutely unhinged for everyone involved.

In the trailer, Rue (Zendaya) is entangled in dangerous new territory, working as a drug mule between Mexico and the U.S. before being stopped and questioned by authorities. Jacob Elordi's Nate has taken over his late father Cal's construction business, but his personal life appears increasingly unstable. Meanwhile, Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) has become a cam girl and is attempting to reconnect with former friend and Nate's ex, Maddy (Alexa Demie), now pursuing a career in Hollywood.

The new trailer trades in dramatic ambiguity for a sharper, more dangerous vision leaning into old-Hollywood grandeur and dusty American Western iconography — feeling less like a teen drama and edging closer to Breaking Bad territory than anything Euphoria has attempted before.

Season 3 was shot on a new Kodak motion picture film stock in both 35mm and 65mm — a visual upgrade that promises to make an already cinematic show feel even more like a feature film. Colman Domingo, who plays Rue's sponsor Ali, previewed the season as "devastatingly gorgeous" and "breaking the mold of television."

The returning cast is joined by a stacked roster of newcomers, including Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Trisha Paytas, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Eli Roth, and Marshawn Lynch.

Euphoria Season 3 premieres Sunday, April 12 on HBO, with new episodes airing weekly.

The wait is almost over.
