The trailer recaps Season 1, featuring Matty as the sweet old lady who infiltrated the Jacobson Moore law firm to uncover their cover-up of evidence related to opioid deaths, including the death of her daughter. Now, Matty has discovered that Julian concealed a damaging document. Although Olympia claims it was Senior’s decision, Matty is determined to take her findings to the press. Her husband warns her, though: “When we send our research to the Times, you know your friendship is over, right?”

Julian, feeling stressed, contemplates shredding a damaging document. Meanwhile, Matty insists she has a “highly detailed, mastermind-caliber” plan to expose the truth. The situation puts her at odds with Olympia, who is desperate to protect Julian, stating, “I’m not implicating the father of my children.” Matty cautions Olympia that going public could expose her and Julian to potential harm. In response, Olympia threatens to portray Matty as “a crazy old lady with no evidence,” and she possesses ample evidence of Matty’s own fraudulent behavior. Tensions are rising!
