Brandy and Monica are going on Tour

The Boy Is Mine Tour, which is being produced by Black Promoters Collective, will also boast an impressive lineup of special performers, such as four-time Grammy winner Kelly Rowland, two-time Grammy winner Muni Long, and American Idol season 23 champ Jamal Roberts. Roberts achieved a No. 1 début on Hot Gospel Songs just weeks prior to her tribute to Kirk Franklin at the 2025 BET Awards, and Long released her fourth studio album, Revenge, last summer (Aug. 30, 2024). Rowland was appointed as the most recent coach of The Voice UK earlier this month.

“This really is a full-circle moment,” Brandy, who landed at No. 41 on the Billboard staff’s 75 Best R&B Singers of All Time list, said in a press release. “Monica and I coming together again isn’t just about the music — it’s about honoring where we came from and how far we’ve both come. ‘The Boy Is Mine’ was a defining chapter in R&B, and to share the stage all these years later is bigger than a reunion — it’s a celebration of growth, sisterhood, and the love our fans have given us from day one.”

The cinematic short film, directed by filmmaker and production designer Ethan Tobman, the R&B icons who reunited on 2012's "It All Belongs to Me," announced their new tour. Tobman has collaborated with the likes of Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, and Taylor Swift. The tour trailer is set in a maximum sound asylum, where Brandy and Monica utilize their potent and "forbidden" harmonies to break free.

“The love that ‘The Boy Is Mine’ continues to receive means everything to me,” Monica said in a press release. “This tour is a celebration of our history, our impact, and the fans who have grown with us. Brandy and I have been on our own unique journeys, and coming back together in this way is a reminder of the power of respect, strength, and real music. We’re giving the people what they’ve been asking for, and doing it with grace, love, and purpose. God’s timing perfectly aligned us.”

Brandy and Monica received their 13th and fifth Grammy nominations, respectively, last year, as a result of their featured appearances in the remix of Grande's "The Boy Is Mine." Grande's Eternal Sunshine single, which was named after their duet, peaked at No. 16 on the Hot 100 and was accompanied by a music video that was inspired by Catwoman and featured cameos from all three women, as well as You actor Penn Badgley.

Tickets for The Boy Is Mine Tour will be available for purchase on Friday at 10 a.m. local time through Ticketmaster.com. The presales will commence on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. local time, and they will be conducted using the code "BPC."
