First Look: HBO Drops New Photos & Teaser for House of the Dragon Season 3

. Get ready for epic battles and intense political intrigue when the show premieres in Summer 2026.
What to Expect in Season 3
The new footage, part of HBO's 2026 programming sizzle reel, promises a season of high stakes and major conflict. Season 3 is expected to cover significant events from George R.R. Martin's Fire & Blood novel, including the highly anticipated "Battle of the Gullet". Showrunner Ryan Condal has promised that the scale of the action will surpass previous seasons, with two "enormous" battle sequences planned.
Key storylines and images teased include:
Rhaenyra's Resolve: Alicent's voiceover warns that "Rhaenyra will do what she has to do. And what she has to do will be dire". An image of Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy) looking concerned hints at the weight of the crown.
