Girls Trip 2" is Officially Happening: The Flossy Posse Heads to Ghana

Pack your bags! The long-awaited sequel to the 2017 blockbuster comedy

Girls Trip

is officially in the works. The entire "Flossy Posse"—Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Tiffany Haddish—is set to reprise their roles for another wild adventure.

This time, the action moves from the New Orleans Essence Music Festival to an exotic, international destination:

Ghana

and the vibrant Afrochella Festival.

A Global Adventure with the Original Cast

The sequel has been confirmed by co-writer Tracy Oliver and producer Will Packer, following years of delays due to scheduling conflicts and the COVID-19 pandemic. Filming is reportedly set to begin in the Summer of 2026.
