Hope Valley is Expanding! When Calls the Heart Star Erin Krakow Expecting First Child
Beloved Hallmark Channel star Erin Krakow has announced that she is pregnant and expecting her first baby with her husband and costar Ben Rosenbaum. The happy news was shared on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, sending "Hearties" everywhere into a flurry of happy tears.
"So Much to Be Grateful For!"
Krakow and Rosenbaum announced the pregnancy with a joint Instagram post featuring a collage of black-and-white photo booth pictures. The adorable photos showed the couple kissing and smiling while holding up sonogram images of their baby-to-be. Their dog, Willoughby, was even included in the announcement, wearing a sweet shirt that read "Big Brother."
The couple captioned the heartwarming post simply: "So much to be grateful for!!! 🥰"
A Real-Life Hallmark Romance
Erin Krakow, 41, plays the leading role of Elizabeth Thatcher on the long-running Hallmark series, while Ben Rosenbaum has recurred as the charming town resident Mike Hickam since Season 1. While their characters are not romantically involved on the show, their real-life romance blossomed on set.
The pair publicly confirmed their relationship earlier in 2024 and announced they had tied the knot in a surprise ceremony in June 2024.
More Babies in Hope Valley
The happy news comes just weeks after other When Calls the Heart costars announced their own pregnancies.
Kevin McGarry (who plays Nathan Grant) and Kayla Wallace (who played Fiona Miller) recently announced they are also expecting their first child together. McGarry was quick to share his congratulations on Krakow's post, writing: "Congratulations! What wonderful parents you'll be!"
When Calls the Heart was renewed for Season 13 in March 2025 and resumed filming in July. Season 13 is set to premiere in early 2026
