Scrubs" is Back! Original Cast Reunites for Season 10 Revival on ABC
After more than 15 years off the air, the beloved medical comedy
is making an official comeback! ABC has given a straight-to-series order for a revival (often referred to as Season 10) that reunites the entire core cast at Sacred Heart Hospital.
The new season is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET/PT with back-to-back episodes. All episodes will also be available to stream the next day on Hulu.
The Original Gang is Scrubbing In
The revival brings back the dynamic that made the original show a classic. The official logline states: "JD (Braff) & Turk (Faison) scrub in together for the first time in a long time - medicine has changed, interns have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of time".
The returning core cast includes:
Zach Braff as Dr. John "J.D." Dorian
Donald Faison as Dr. Christopher Turk
Sarah Chalke as Dr. Elliot Reid
Judy Reyes as Nurse Carla Espinosa (recurring guest star)
John C. McGinley as Dr. Perry Cox (recurring guest star)
Creator Bill Lawrence is executive producing, with fellow Scrubs veterans Aseem Batra and Tim Hobert serving as showrunners.
A Mix of Nostalgia and New Interns
The new season aims to capture the humor and heart of the original while exploring how the medical field has changed since JD and Turk were fresh-faced interns. The story will be told from JD's perspective again, mentoring a new wave of young doctors while grappling with the realities of medicine as a middle-aged physician.
The series will introduce a new intern class and welcome guest stars like Vanessa Bayer and Joel Kim Booster. Fans can also look forward to appearances from other original recurring actors, including Robert Maschio (The Todd) and Phill Lewis (Hooch).
A teaser trailer recently dropped, showing the cast back in action, complete with Dr. Cox's classic "Re-heally super start there, scooter" line, building massive anticipation for the February premiere.
