IT: Welcome to Derry Trailer is Here: Pennywise Haunts New Cast in HBO Prequel
Scary times are ahead with the newest trailer for HBO’s new horror series, It: Welcome to Derry.
Starring Taylour Paige and Jovan Adepo, the series takes place in the world of Stephen King’s It, following a family who has just moved to 1960s Derry, Maine.
Racial violence does seem like an undercurrent of the series, but that is juxtaposed to the supernatural violence levied against the town by Pennywise (Bill Skarsgård, reprising his role from the films).
The series also features Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, and Rudy Mancuso.
Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti developed the television series. Andy Muschietti directed numerous episodes. The first episode's script was penned by Jason Fuchs, with Skarsgård, Dan Lin, Brad Caleb Kane, David Coatsworth, Shelley Meals, and Roy Lee serving as executive producers. In addition, Kane and Fuchs are co-showrunners.
IT: Welcome to Derry comes to HBO on Oct. 26 at 9 p.m.
