Lady Whistledown Reports: Bridgerton Season 4 Premiering 2026 and All the Details You Need to Know

The beloved period drama Bridgerton is officially returning for a fourth season, much to the excitement of fans. Netflix has released the first official poster for the upcoming season, offering a glimpse of what’s ahead. The image showcases a new character dressed in a silver gown and holding a mask, suggesting a new chapter filled with mystery and romance. The creators confirmed the announcement on social media, creating a buzz among fan communities.

The press release also revealed that Bridgerton Season 4 will premiere in 2026, exclusively on Netflix. Produced by Shondaland, the series has become a global sensation with each new season. The fourth season promises to uphold that tradition with fresh faces and evolving storylines.

This time, the focus is on Benedict Bridgerton, the second eldest son in the Bridgerton family. Portrayed by Luke Thompson, Benedict is characterized by his artistic spirit and his resistance to societal norms. Unlike his siblings, he doesn’t prioritize marriage, but a pivotal night alters his perspective. The upcoming season will delve into his unexpected romance with a mysterious woman he encounters at a masquerade ball.

Korean-Australian actress Yerin Ha joins the cast as Sophie Baek, a maid with a complicated past who sneaks into the Bridgerton masquerade ball disguised in silver. Unknown to Benedict, she is far from the noblewoman she seems to be. Their secret-filled love story will unfold over the course of eight episodes.

Season 4 will introduce Katie Leung (from Harry Potter) as Lady Araminta Gun, who is Sophie’s strict stepmother. Additionally, Michelle Mao and Isabella Wei will portray Sophie’s stepsisters, Rosamund and Posy Li. These new characters are expected to bring fresh drama to the Bridgerton world.

Alongside the new additions, familiar favorites will return, including Jonathan Bailey (Anthony), Simone Ashley (Kate), Nicola Coughlan (Penelope), Claudia Jessie (Eloise), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), and the iconic narration by Julie Andrews as Lady Whistledown. Filming for the season concluded in June 2025, and post-production is currently ongoing. "An Offer from a Gentleman," the official tie-in book for Bridgerton Season 4, is set to be released in January or February 2026, possibly around Valentine’s Day.

Part 1 - will premiere on January 29 and Part 2-February 26
