Megan Thee Stallion Gets Her Wings: Inside Her Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Moment

Megan Thee Stallion has been saying it for years: she was born to be an Angel. On Sunday night, she made it official.

The Houston rapper performed at the 2026 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Oct. 18 at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, closing out the night and getting her wings. When she announced the gig on X in late September, her caption said it all: "HOTTIES MY DREAM HAS FINALLY COME TRUE."

The performance

Megan opened with "Her" from Traumazine, then went into "Body" from Good News. She hit the runway in bedazzled stockings, silver heels and a glittering bra, backed by dancers in black lace. For a woman who has built a career on owning her body and her confidence, it was a fitting stage.

The pink carpet

Before the show, she arrived in a custom Walter Mendez Atelier gown with pink crystals over black mesh and a deep V-neck, finished with a pink feather boa. Wayman and Micah styled the look. Her longtime friend Kellon Deryck did her platinum blonde curls, paired with soft pink blush, glossy pink lips, silver hoops and a diamond bracelet.

She wasn't the only Black star turning heads. Victoria Monét wore a pink satin corset minidress with white lace and a pearl-and-crystal choker. Model Golloria George arrived in a one-shoulder gold mermaid gown.

A night of new Angels

Megan shared the stage with fellow performers Tate McRae, Megan Moroney and Katseye. The runway featured Gigi Hadid, Paloma Elsesser, Anok Yai, Alex Consani and Ashley Graham. It was also the night Cameroon-born Solange Omon was crowned the brand's newest Angel after winning the Angels Among Us competition. Read our story on Solange.

Why it matters

For most of its history, the Victoria's Secret runway had one very narrow idea of what an Angel looked like. Seeing Megan, a dark-skinned Black woman from Houston who raps about her body on her own terms, close the show in wings is a sign of how much that has changed.

Next up for Megan is her long-awaited new album. She told Marie Claire she's been taking her time to write and figure it out. If Sunday was any indication, she's walking into that era with her wings on.
