Simone Ashley joins The Devil Wears Prada 2

Sources are telling us that Bridgerton actress Simone Ashley has joined the cast of 20th Century Studios’ The Devil Wears Prada 2 opposite core members Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci and new addition Kenneth Branagh.

The sequel to the 2006 film follows Streep's Anna Wintour-like fashion editor as she faces the print industry's demise. Her former assistant, Emily Charlton, is now a well-known fashion executive, and the two fight for advertising revenue. Branagh is the spouse of Streep's ice queen, Miranda Priestly.

David Frankel, the original director, returns, as does Aline Brosh McKenna, the writer who adapted the first film from Lauren Weisberger's New York Times blockbuster bestseller. The tale was inspired by the author's former employer, Anna Wintour. Cameras are rolling on the sequel.
