Stanley Tucci returns for a season 2

In the inaugural season, Tucci investigated regions such as Trentino-Alto Adige, Lazio, Abruzzo, Tuscany, and Lombardy. In the second season, he will make his first visit to Le Marche and will also revisit Sicily, Veneto, Campania, and Sardinia.

He will interact with local chefs, historians, farmers, winemakers, and artisans to discover the culinary traditions that are less well-known and that characterize each region.

Tucci In Italy was awarded the Best Limited Series at the Critics Choice Real TV Awards last month, surpassing a variety of series such as Nat Geo's Cult Massacre: One Day in Jonestown and Erased: WW2's Heroes of Color, Netflix's Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer and Simone Biles Rising, and MGM+'s The Wonderland Massacre & The Secret History of Hollywood.

Salt Productions, which was established by Tucci and Lottie Birmingham in 2023, and BBC Studios are the producers of the series. In addition to Amanda Lyon of BBCS, Tucci and Birmingham serve as executive producers, with Ben Jessop serving as co-executive producer.

Initially, the Disney-owned factual broadcaster issued a 10-episode order for Tucci in Italy. However, this was reduced to five episodes during production, with an additional five episodes to be produced for Season 2.

Having hosted CNN's Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy, which was awarded two Emmys for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special over two seasons, Tucci is no novice to visiting Italy.
