Tehran" Lands Season 3 Release Date & Season 4 Renewal at Apple TV+

After a significant delay, the International Emmy Award-winning espionage thriller Tehran is officially making its global return to Apple TV+. The streamer has not only set a premiere date for the highly anticipated third season but has also announced that the series is renewed for a fourth season.

Season 3 Premiere Details

Tehran Season 3 will have its global debut on Friday, January 9, 2026, exclusively on Apple TV+. New episodes of the eight-episode season will drop weekly every Friday through February 27, 2026.

The third season, which stars Niv Sultan as Mossad agent Tamar Rabinyan and adds Emmy Award nominee Hugh Laurie (House M.D., The Night Manager) to the cast as South African nuclear inspector Eric Peterson, was delayed for over a year following real-world geopolitical events. The season already aired in Israel on the public broadcaster Kan 11 in December 2024.

Season 4 is Already in the Works

In a major vote of confidence for the series, Apple confirmed that a fourth season is already in production.

Production for Season 4 has reportedly required rewrites due to similarities between planned plot points and real-life events. Filming is reportedly on track to continue in Athens, where previous seasons were also shot. No release date for Season 4 has been set yet.
