"It's a herder mystery, and everyone is a suspect."
The first official trailer for the delightful new murder-mystery comedy 'The Sheep Detectives' has arrived, promising a unique take on the whodunit genre. The film, based on the bestselling novel Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann, is directed by Minions helmer Kyle Balda and written by The Last of Us creator Craig Mazin.
Plot: A "Babe" meets "Knives Out" Whodunit
The story centers on George Hardy (Hugh Jackman), a shepherd who loves his flock so much he reads them murder mystery novels every night, assuming they don't understand a word.
When George is found dead under mysterious circumstances, the sheep realize they must become the detectives. Convinced they know the rules of a good mystery from their nightly stories, they decide to leave their meadow for the first time to investigate the hapless local cop (Nicholas Braun) and a range of human suspects, proving that even sheep can be brilliant crime-solvers.
