The Way Home will be its final installment. The final season, currently in production, is set to premiere in Spring 2026 with a "satisfying close" to the mystery that has captivated fans for three seasons.

Since its debut, The Way Home has earned critical acclaim for its unique blend of multigenerational family drama and time-travel mystery. The show follows the three generations of Landry women—Del (Andie MacDowell), Kat (Chyler Leigh), and Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow)—as they navigate their complicated past, present, and future via a magical pond.
Samantha DiPippo, SVP of programming at Hallmark Media, shared the network's commitment to delivering a complete story.
DiPippo noted that fans have been actively trying to solve the show's mystery and assured viewers that Season 4 will provide the answers they have been seeking with "thrilling twists and turns" as the Landry family's story concludes.
What to Expect in the Final Season
The Season 3 finale presented several unresolved plots, including the reveal that Elliot was the baby found by the pond and that Del's boyfriend, Sam, has a connection to the pond's time-traveling abilities. Co-showrunner Alexandra Clarke has indicated that the final season will resolve these storylines, including the identity of the time traveler known as Casey.
The main cast members, including Andie MacDowell, Chyler Leigh, Evan Williams, and Sadie Laflamme-Snow, are expected to return for the final season.
The premiere schedule is shifting from January to Spring 2026 for the final season.
Although fans have initiated a petition to try and prevent the show from ending, production is nearing completion, suggesting the conclusion is set.
