Vince Vaughn Returns in 'Bad Monkey' Season 2 Trailer Ahead of Dec. 2 Premiere

Vince Vaughn is back in the Florida sun, and back in trouble. Apple TV has released the trailer for Season 2 of Bad Monkey, which premieres Dec. 2, according to The Playlist.

The crime comedy, developed by Bill Lawrence (Ted Lasso, Shrinking), adapted Carl Hiaasen's bestselling novel when it debuted in 2024. Season 2 moves past the book with an all-new story. Ten episodes will roll out weekly after the premiere, running through Feb. 3, 2027.

A new murder and a bigger ensemble

This time, Vaughn's Andrew Yancy witnesses the murder of a notorious Florida fixer. An ambitious state attorney pairs him with a straight-laced forensic accountant, and Yancy, still hoping to win back his detective's badge, lands in the middle of a turf war between rival criminal organizations. Along the way he deals with an intellectual mob boss, the boss's unstable son and a young woman who needs protection.

His personal life stays messy, too. Yancy is juggling his aging father, lingering romantic complications with Dr. Rosa Campesino, played by Natalie Martinez, and an animal relocation specialist whose business threatens the environment. Rosa, meanwhile, launches her own investigation into a mysterious rash.

John Ortiz and Charlotte Lawrence also return. The new cast includes John Malkovich, Yvonne Strahovski, Sofia Boutella, Dax Shepard, Margarita Levieva, June Diane Raphael, Nate Jackson, Sam Jaeger, Peter Billingsley, Brent Morin, Joey Avery and Zavior Phillips.

Lawrence returns as showrunner and executive producer through his Doozer Productions banner, with Warner Bros. Television producing. Vaughn and Hiaasen are among the executive producers.
