, a narrative feature adaptation of the 2018 documentary of the same name, has secured an incredible cast led by André Holland, J . Alphonse Nicholson,Wendell Pierce, and Samira Wiley.
The film, which recently wrapped production, is inspired by the real youth boxing community inside a Washington D.C. recreation center and is expected to premiere on Hulu and Disney+.
The Premise: Mentorship and Second Chances
focuses on the story of Walt Manigan (played by André Holland), a highly skilled boxer and reformed ex-convict who returns home determined to rebuild his family life with his wife, Ketta (Samira Wiley).
