The First Full "Avengers: Doomsday" Trailer Is Here — And It's Everyone, All at Once

Marvel Studios has finally released the first full trailer for "Avengers: Doomsday," and it delivers exactly what seven years of multiverse setup promised: nearly the entire MCU, plus the X-Men, plus the Fantastic Four, colliding at once.

The trailer, released after debuting to CinemaCon attendees back in April, brings together nearly every hero across the MCU to face down Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom in his Marvel return. Patrick Stewart's Professor X sets the tone early, warning, "Something's coming, something we may not be able to deter... before this day is done, we will be faced with an unthinkable decision."

The biggest moment belongs to Chris Evans. After Chris Hemsworth's Thor, carrying Mjolnir, says he needs "a miracle," a familiar voice cuts in — Steve Rogers is back, and when Thor holds out the hammer, it flies to Cap instead, confirming he's still worthy. It's his first appearance since "Avengers: Endgame" in 2019.

The returning roster is enormous: Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Paul Rudd, Tom Hiddleston, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Simu Liu, and Tenoch Huerta lead the returning MCU characters, joined by the Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts casts — Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, and more.Perhaps the biggest surprise is the wave of legacy X-Men actors crossing into the MCU proper: Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer, Alan Cumming, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, and Rebecca Romijn.

The trailer closes with a shot of New York City from above and the film's December 18, 2026 release date.Directed by the Russo Brothers, "Avengers: Doomsday" marks the team's first big-screen reunion since "Endgame," and will set up 2027's "Avengers: Secret Wars."

After a year of drip-fed teasers spotlighting one hero at a time, seeing this many characters share a frame at once is the clearest signal yet of just how massive Marvel intends this crossover to be.
