No Safe Harbor: Jason Statham Goes Full Throttle in 'Mutiny

Jason Statham is having quite the year. Just months after "Shelter" found its audience on streaming, the action star is back on the big screen with "Mutiny," hitting theaters August 21 — and this time, the battleground is a cargo ship in the middle of the ocean. Statham plays Cole Reed, a former Special Forces soldier turned private security man who watches his billionaire boss and friend murdered in front of him, then gets framed for the crime. On the run and hunting the real killer, Reed boards a container ship on a one-man crusade for vengeance, only to uncover an international conspiracy far bigger than one murder. Directed by Jean-François Richet, the French filmmaker behind the Gerard Butler hit "Plane," and co-starring Annabelle Wallis, Roland Møller, and Adrian Lester, "Mutiny" promises exactly what a Statham late-summer release should: tight quarters, high stakes, and a body count.
