The Secret Between Us' Starring Michael Jai White, Lisa Arrindell, Victoria Rowell And More Sets April Theatrical Release

Some secrets don't stay buried forever — and in The Secret Between Us, the truth has a way of knocking right at your front door.

Written and directed by Tamera Hill, The Secret Between Us centers on Jack Frazier, a man who appears to have it all — a loving wife, a devoted daughter, and a reputation built on honesty. Everything unravels when a stranger appears at his door, forcing him to confront the painful consequences of a past affair that produced a son he has kept hidden for years.

Victoria Rowell, who plays Maxine in the film, described it as "a family drama" where "the mystery child shows up at the front door, and how this family deals with it." The actress also reflected on the personal weight of the project, noting her gratitude for still being a part of storytelling after four decades in the business.

Michael Jai White leads the film as Jack Frazier, also serving as a producer on the project. Lisa Arrindell stars as his wife Wanda, Karen Abercrombie appears as Mrs. Frazier, and Tre Ryan plays Torrance — the son whose arrival sets everything in motion. Destinee Monét rounds out the family as Jalisa Frazier.

Behind the camera, the project carries serious creative firepower. R&B legend Keith Sweat serves as executive producer alongside Hill, who wrote, directed, and produced the film through her company Hidden Gem Entertainment. Hill is best known for the Netflix feature Never Heard and has steadily built a body of work centered on faith, family, and Black storytelling.

The film explores the power of forgiveness, commitment to love, and what real family life looks like when tested — themes that have already resonated deeply with early viewers. The film's tagline says it plainly: Some secrets break us; others bind us.

The Secret Between Us arrives in limited theatrical release on April 3, 2026, with a runtime of 103 minutes.
