"We See You" — And Baby, We SAW Everything! 🖤
The 57th NAACP Image Awards wrapped up Saturday night from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, and one word sums up the evening: SINNERS.
Ryan Coogler's period vampire thriller swept the night — dominating the ceremony with a staggering 13 wins, cementing its place as the year's defining cinematic achievement. From the virtual pre-show earlier in the week through Saturday's live broadcast on BET and CBS, Sinners was simply in a league of its own.
🏆 The Big Winners:
Michael B. Jordan took home Entertainer of the Year, Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture, and Sinners claimed Outstanding Motion Picture — with 20-year-old newcomer Miles Caton also winning Outstanding Breakthrough Performance.
And in what became one of the most emotional moments of the night, Jordan dedicated his award to his late Black Panther co-star and friend Chadwick Boseman, saying, "Our time on this planet is short." There wasn't a dry eye in the house.
Behind the camera, Ryan Coogler won for both writing and directing, while Wunmi Mosaku and Delroy Lindo took home supporting actress and actor, respectively.
📺 TV Had Its Moment Too:
Abbott Elementary led on the TV side with five total awards, with Quinta Brunson winning Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series, Angela Bassett claiming Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for 9-1-1, and Sterling K. Brown winning Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series for Paradise.
Brown used his platform wisely — addressing the current political climate from the stage in a moment that had the audience on their feet.
🎶 Music & More:
Cardi B walked away with three awards including Outstanding Female Artist and Outstanding Album for Am I the Drama?, while Kendrick Lamar won Outstanding Male Artist and Michelle Obama took home Outstanding Literary Work for The Look. .

A moving tribute was also led by Samuel L. Jackson honoring the late Jesse Jackson. 🕊️
The theme this year was "We See You" — and from Sinners to the Hall of Fame, from the boardroom to the stage, Black excellence was fully on display.
