The Devil Wears Prada 2" Teaser Trailer Released: Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway Reunite

The teaser trailer for "The Devil Wears Prada 2" is out, and Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway are back together. The Devil Wears Prada 2, the long-awaited sequel to the classic 2006 fashion comedy-drama, has just released its first teaser trailer from 20th Century Studios. The trailer gives fans a thrilling first look at Meryl Streep's comeback as the tough Miranda Priestly and Anne Hathaway's return as the not-so-new Andy Sachs.
The movie has been in development in New York and Italy since mid-2025, and it will come out in theaters on May 1, 2026.
Inside the Teaser: A Look at the Drama
The 51-second teaser is low on plot details but heavy on style and atmosphere. It is set to Madonna's legendary 1990 single "Vogue," which was in the first movie.
The video starts with a close-up of a pair of sharp red Valentino stilettos clicking through a busy office. This leads to Miranda Priestly. Andy Sachs, her former assistant, gets in the elevator with her. The only words spoken confirm the reunion that fans have been waiting 20 years for: "Miranda," Sachs begins, and Priestly coolly replies, "Took you long enough."
There are elegant red carpet moments, high-fashion clips, and a general sense of drama throughout the teaser. This hints at the high stakes and return to the luxurious world of Runway magazine.

The Cast Goes Back to the Runway
Meryl Streep will be back as Miranda Priestly in the sequel, along with the rest of the original cast.
Andy Sachs is played by Anne Hathaway.
Emily Blunt plays Emily Charlton, Miranda's former senior assistant who is now a powerful CEO herself.
Nigel Kipling is played by Stanley Tucci.
Adrian Grenier, who played Nate, Andy's ex-boyfriend, will not be back for the sequel. Instead, Patrick Brammall will play Andy's new love interest. The cast also contains interesting new additions, including Kenneth Branagh, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, and reportedly Lady Gaga in a small role.
The original's David Frankel directed the movie, and Aline Brosh McKenna wrote it. It is anticipated to be about Miranda dealing with the demise of print media and fighting her former assistant Emily, who now controls the ads she needs.
