Vince is reeling from the death of his Uncle James, which sets the stage for a quest for self-reflection
Vince Staples has been navigating some challenges, as revealed in the newly released trailer for Season 2 of The Vince Staples Show.
The Netflix series is set to return for its second season, which fans have eagerly awaited since the show's debut on the platform in February 2024.
This season features guest appearances from Vanessa Bell Calloway, Naté Jones, and Zack Fox.
The clip opens with a shot of Staples looking down into a stairwell, transitioning into a montage of him walking through various scenes that seem to be from different episodes of the upcoming season.
His on-screen sister, Bri (played by Jones), provides narration, expressing that she has never fully understood the responsibilities weighing on her brother.
The teaser showcases Staples in transit, seemingly running from something in almost every clip. It references the dramatic shootout at the swap meet with a childhood rival, which concluded the first season, and touches on the recent death of his Uncle James.
“In the wake of a tragic death, Vince embarks on a wild journey in search of inner peace,” reads the official season logline. “However, his path is littered with reminders of his haunted past.”
The trailer concludes with a bruised and battered Staples stopping for a flick with a fan before the ultimate question is posed – “I love your show. When is Season 2 happening?” asked the actor, posing as a fan.
The Vince Staples Show drops on Netflix November the 6th.
