Justice for Meg: Megan Thee Stallion Wins Defamation Lawsuit Against Blogger Milagro Gramz

In a significant legal victory, a federal jury has sided with Megan Thee Stallion (legal name Megan Pete) in her defamation lawsuit against social media blogger Milagro Cooper, also known as Milagro Gramz. The verdict was reached on Monday, December 1, 2025, in a Miami courtroom after two days of deliberation.

The Verdict and Damages

The nine-person jury found Cooper liable for defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and promoting a sexually explicit deepfake video of the rapper.

The jury initially awarded Megan $75,000 in damages. U.S. District Court Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga later reduced the final sum to $59,000. Cooper will also be responsible for paying Megan's attorney fees.

Upon leaving the courthouse, Megan simply told reporters, "I'm just happy".

The Case: Coordinated Harassment

Megan Thee Stallion filed the lawsuit in October 2024, alleging that Cooper acted as a "mouthpiece" and "paid surrogate" for the incarcerated rapper Tory Lanez (Daystar Peterson). Lanez was convicted in 2022 of shooting Megan in the foot in 2020 and is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence.

During emotional testimony, Megan revealed the severe mental toll the online harassment and the deepfake video took on her, stating she felt defeated and that "no one cared that I was shot".

The trial highlighted the dark side of social media, with evidence showing Cooper actively directing her followers to a sexually explicit AI-generated video of Megan that circulated online.

This verdict is seen as a landmark moment in holding social media commentators accountable for spreading false and defamatory information, marking another significant legal win for the Houston rapper in her pursuit of justice and control over her narrative.
